team gatherings in berlin

A few of us are based in Berlin, so we love an in-person meet-up if any fellow team member visits the city.

Team events shared on slack

We stay connected by sharing moments of our lives on Slack - from our weekend activities to enviable lunches!

Our Story

The problem: all software has bugs, this has and probably will never change. Pair this with increasing software complexity, a culture of "MVPs" and building things faster, it's getting harder and harder to maintain a high quality in products, which ultimately hurts the end users.

Bird combines screen recording with automatically captured technical logs to allow even non-technical people to create proper data-rich bug reports - make it much easier and faster to fix bugs. Our vision is to help companies build products that work perfectly, taking care of quality so that companies can focus on building better features.

How we work

We work fully remotely. We've been a remote-first company from day 1, and now a team spread all over the world. We value the flexibility between work and lifestyle that remote working brings.

We work autonomously and asynchronously. We believe in a smarter way of working which is more compatible with remote working. You are completely free to shape your work day. So in order to have some predictable overlap for the team to collaborate, we set our core time to 14:00-18:00 CET.

We like to be lean with process and meetings. "I spend all day in meetings and have no time to do actual work". Everyone complains about this, yet it happens everywhere. We make a conscious effort to keep our processes minimal, and regularly question the need for any recurring meetings. All to maximise the time we have to get real work done.

We value real feedback. Saying nice things is easy, saying what you really think takes courage and respect from both sides. So we put a lot of effort into creating an environment where people feel like they can say what matters. It's hard work to create and maintain this and requires effort from everyone.
