Zapier

Zapier

Build custom automation triggers that are invoked whenever sessions are created or updated in Bird.

Overview

Zapier is a great way to build automations or custom integrations with Bird. It allows you to connect Bird with over 4,000 apps, and customize specific actions to speed up your bug reporting workflow. You can create workflows with apps such as Gmail, Clickup, Azure Devops, Airtable, Todoist and more.when a label is updated for a session. Once you have connected Bird to Zapier, you can build workflows and automation within the Zapier app. Bird currently provides two types of triggers: when uploading a session and when a session is updated.

Workflows

Here's an example workflow with Gmail you can try to get started:

  • Go to Zapier and create a Zap workflow
  • Search and select Bird as a trigger app to start
  • Select Session Uploaded as a trigger event
  • Finish all authentications
  • Finish Set up trigger fields and test the trigger
  • In the Action app, select Gmail as the other app to send trigger data to
  • Click Send Email
  • Finish all authentications
  • Fill in all Set up action fields. You can enrich them with auto Insert data options containing all Bird session data (e.g. description, environment details, session URL, and more)
  • Test the action if needed and turn on the Zap workflow
  • Go back to Bird extension and upload a new session
  • You'll receive an email with all the information
